First moment of enlightenment

I was born a natural empath/intuitive although I didn't know it, thinking it was the same for everybody. I've always been able to tap into what's going on beneath the surface. However, in the face of adults telling me that I was wrong or making it up as a child, I simply assumed that "I" must be wrong and "they" must be right. Now I trust myself, the dials are turned up on my ability to be able to hear, see and feel beyond the veil.

F*ck this shit moment

I've learned a lot about relationships - the hard way. Possibly the toughest lesson was emotional and physical abuse in a relationship when I was in my early 30's. I look back now and it's like something from a film. How could that have been me, and how could I have let that happen to me?

Fear (and a lack of money) kept me trapped. Knowing that he had access to a gun, I feared that if I escaped and he found me, I could end up paying the ultimate price. One day, the thought came to me that I was already trapped in a living hell and that death would be a kind of release. In that instant, the fear melted away and was replaced with a grounded knowing that I was protected. All I had to do was trust, and then speak my truth, and then walk away. Once again, facing the fear was the solution. And it saved me.

About Her

One of the hardest moments of her life?

When the banks collapsed and corporate clients suddenly slashed their training budgets in 2008, things got very hairy and the only thing that prevented us from living in the street was my suite of credit cards.

No prizes for guessing who landed up with all the debt when the relationship went sour. I was a hair's breadth from bankruptcy. After some dark and panicky times, I decided that I could either remain stuck, or choose a different path, which I did by meditating on how I'd cope as a bankrupt. In my imagination, I really lived each and every step and accepted the reality. I truly believe that it was this final acceptance that enabled me to swerve the bankruptcy juggernaut in the nick of time.

I'm sure my early lack of self worth was reflected in my ongoing financial struggles. The good news however, as I've proved with myself and now share with my clients, is that when we change our inner reality, our outer circumstances change too.

I've come to see that money is a medium for life - and that when we begin to understand our emotional relationship with money, everything in life suddenly starts to make sense too!

I believe that everybody has the right to a great relationship with Money - and I'm passionate about cracking open the taboo that's traditionally shrouded the subject.

What used to terrify her?

Judgemental people used to terrify me, but now I see that their judgments say a lot more about them then they do about me.

Superpower

I translate information from beyond normal reality into the practical steps that someone is being invited to take.

When we begin to understand our emotional relationship with money, everything in life suddenly starts to make sense too!

Grateful to her top BFFs

Thank you to all the people I deeply connect with and that I meet in the "marketplace" of life :-)

Romantic partner?

We met at a business event, then started working together but were the last to see the romance on the horizon.

About her Business

About her business (5 words or less)

Creating unity out of separation.

Mastermind Topic

How to deeper understand yourself and others through the universal language of money.

Biggest leap of faith taken in her business?

Outsourcing to my team and using my hard earned cash to pay them!

Most thrilling "high"? most challenging "low"?

High • Being able to tap into a higher guidance when working with people - individuals, couples, teams or organisations. It feels like normality at the time AND "wow" in hindsight. Knowing that it's not me, but that it comes through me feels both grounded and clean.

Low • The low is the corollary - feeling as though I've lost the connection and it's a scary, dark place. Overthinking, overworking and burn out are the cause of the dimmed connection - and I've now worked out that the simple solution is 'self care' (including meditation, play and creativity). I'm still a work in progress.

False advice being taught in her industry

It's impolite to talk about money.

What does She need to do less of in Her business?

Worrying about getting projects and tasks completed.

How did she overcome her fear of selling?

By taking responsibility to let people know how they can access the help and tools they need and want when they're ready.

Hardest part about being a trailblazer?

Being labelled as a weird.

What's next for her?

I'm writing my next book, producing an inspirational card deck and developing the 'Money Types' emotional profiling tool.
