First moment of enlightenment

When I was invited to do the book "Calling in the One" by a great friend of mine [aka Ellany] :-) I was reeling from an unrequited crush for a week before this moment landed in my peripheral. I was a real snob about therapy and self-help books and all this law of attraction stuff, but after I did the exercises it turned out to be the 49 days that changed my life.

It wasn't the menu order to the universe for the man of my dreams I expected (still waiting, universe!!). I realised I had made hidden contracts with myself, which I had never addressed. When I finally faced them, my personal and spiritual growth just transformed from this flower that struggled to grow in concrete to this vineyard of rare flowers and fruit. I've tasted the juice and its gooooddddd!!!

F*ck this shit moment

Quitting my job without another one to go to. I had been scared of not having job security for years but getting enlightened on the edge of a hill in Sri Lanka taught me that after a decade of always seeing the safety net, it was time to jump without one and simply have faith one was still there to catch me. So I took the jump.

After 6 months of a Ferrari car crash relationship with my boss who through me under the bus at work, I chose ME and MY SANITY as my #1 Bae. So on my 3rd day back from holiday, I had my "F*ck you and the horse you rode in on, I'm out!" moment. I am many things, but a walkover is one thing I am abso-effin-lutely not! Never put God out of your thoughts and think or assume otherwise.

Cracks her up every time!

Books that transformed her life

Calling in the One and The Alchemist. The first one helped me to see, the latter one helped me to believe.

About Her

One of the hardest moments of her life?

Spending all my savings and seeing my account go to £0 after not working or finding work for a year. That was hard. I saw years of savings disappear and wondered what was all the struggle for. Only my faith in not taking a full-time job and committing to being a freelancer was the meal fuelling me to keep going every day. It gave me a deeper empathy for homeless people and was a lesson and reminder that if I knew how to clean, then I would never have a reason to starve.

I got my first client at the 11th hour (it was the last interview I had for the year) and I took money way less than I wanted. I felt honestly bittersweet about it. On one hand I didn't have to go hungry and I could freelance, on the other hand it wasn't the money or how I 'expected' to celebrate my first gig. My spiritual mother told me you could either sulk about it or you can throw yourself into it and see where it leads you. I chose the latter and decided to work for my client and do babysitting until I got to where I needed.

Mentally, I decided this was a means to an end and wasn't forever. What I did from hereon would shape what comes next. I'm honestly now full of gratitude. I've learnt that opportunities are everywhere if you take the view that you are not above even the most menial of jobs. Now my sunflower is soaking up the sun with glee!

What used to terrify her?

Not having Money. I wrote an expressive letter to him (yeah, money is a guy lol) and decided to embrace him, not fight him.

Superpower

My gift is to listen and speak truth. I can get strangers to tell me things they haven't told their priest lol.

Never put God out of your thoughts and think or assume otherwise.

Grateful to her top BFFs

Ellany - for being my 1UP I always need. Joan - for exchanging daily gratitude voice notes. My mum - Queen/CEO/Mother of Dragons

Romantic partner?

I haven't met him yet BUT I did meet the guy who would prepare me for my romantic partner. We met at a concert :-)

About her Business

About her business (5 words or less)

Brand Marketing for creative entrepreneurs.

Mastermind Topic

Authenticity & Purpose. In this life, alternative realities and past lives, I'm the Yoda of the world on this topic.

Biggest leap of faith taken in her business?

I don't think I've had one yet.

Most thrilling "high"? most challenging "low"?

Highs - seeing my clients get excited about the movement and growth in their business. I love those! It's like a witnessing mini non sexual orgasm lol

Lows - 2 things 1) late nights 2) famine of no or little client traffic. "You don't work, you don't eat" has certainly taken on a new meaning.

False advice being taught in her industry

Digital nomads make A LOT of money. I've seen now that that life is a myth.

What does She need to do less of in Her business?

Self-care neglect. When you're building, you forget to eat or just take time for you.

How did she overcome her fear of selling?

Ha, I think I had a "f*ck this shit moment" with that too. I stopped caring and just started reaching out to people and then BAM!

Hardest part about being a trailblazer?

Figuring things out. It's like being a baby. You crawl, fall, stand, fall, walk with help, fall, then voila! You're raising hell!

What's next for her?

I'm taking a contract with Twitter! It's my next big project for the next 6 months.
